Beijing 2008 Olympic Games Opening

Today is the official opening day of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. The Olympic games will start from today, 8 to 24 August 2008.

The Beijing Organizing Committee for the 2008 Olympic Games says the opening ceremony, starting at 8 pm Beijing Time on August 8th will last about 3 and a half hours. Stick with your TV for the opening and the official time for the opening is 8 o'clock tonight. Stay tune...*For Malaysian, if you only have basic channel at home, turn to RTM 1 at 8:30pm.

Home cook fish & chips

A well organised wonderful and delicious dinner was prepared by Chef Mike last night. It tasted really good and the combination of the varieties are well mix.

Side dishes: Taufu Pok, Baby Corn with Shrimp, Potato Ball

This baby corn was plant by my mom and it goes well with shrimp

Overall, the dishes tasted good and I give Chef Mike 4 star out of 5 for the foods and presentation. Actually, it's his virgin dish, he presented his first fish & chips, baby corn with shrimp first time. Anyway, it's unexpected and speechless! Keep going Mike!

Tonight, he said he will surprised us with his new menu. Let's wait and see...

Kuching Food Fair 2008

Every year around this time, Kuching is busy with verities events and Kuching Festival Food Fair is the most famous in town which people has been waiting every year. I had been to Food Fair early for this year and I found that the setting of the booth still maintain the same as previous year but I didn't find my favourite crispy salted chicken stall this year. :-(

Only one stall selling my favourite taiwanese famous finger food this year but it taste so not nice and it is expensive. Few small pieces cost RM5! Year by year, the price of the foods for the food fair going up and that is why my mood to go there decrease year by year. Oh well, I might be going there for less than 5 times for the whole month every year but I guess it will going less if nothing can cheer me up there.

Not like pass year, those are still fresh and new for most of us. Especially the foods...goods...etc but not this year. Hemm...

Anyway, the fair started on 1st August this year and will end on 24th August. No harm for a visit there.
